When I couldn’t attend Afropunk, I brought Afropunk to me…

It was always my dream to go to an Afropunk concert, but, I could never seem to be one of the lucky folks to snag a ticket before they sold out. So, I decided to make a poster, in honor of my love for design and my desire to one day be standing amongst fellow festival goers. An added bonus? Afropunk usually designs using their signature black and white pallet. I decided to give my poster a bit of a 70’s groove and add in some orange and blue hues for an extra funky vibe.

“Femmily Magazine” Logo

I am currently in the process of helping my friends iron out their logo and branding their upcoming digital magazine. We’ve had many discussions surrounding the creative direction, brand guidelines, fonts, and brand colors. This is the latest iteration of their company logo that I designed.

Andromeda product Design.png

“Andromeda Coffee: Interstellar Taste”

Purpose/Methodology

To consider graphic design in a dimensional context. To design for a family of products. To develop a brand, branding graphics, and verbiage. To deal with required regulation information. To develop hand skills in crafting dimensional comps. To scrutinize packaging construction.

I wanted to create an independent coffee company/wannabe space exploration and science foundation (similar to Spacex, Mars One, or Virgin Galatic). The targeted audience are hipsters that don’t take coffee seriously and are interested in novelty space-themed items. Please check out the coffee flavors and brochure here.

Product Statement

Andromeda is the name of our neighboring galaxy. We believe your coffee should elevate you to new places, which is why we specialize in other worldly taste. Our coffee beans are premium and unique. Our 3 brews are named after 3 of the most famous stars in the sky: Alpha Centauri (andromeda’s brightest star), Proxima Centauri (a small red dwarf), and Sol (named after our good ol’ sun).
